For my current role I am responsible for automated and manual testing for a major project which will revamp the student experience and increase engagement between staff and students during their time studying at the university:-Working in an Agile environment with daily stand ups to discuss testing progress, identify any blockers and prioritise defects.Designing and creating test scripts based on functional specifications, working with BAs and developers to help reduce ambiguity and ensure test scripts add value.Identify suitable test scripts for automation and create automated test scripts within a Java test automation framework utilising Selenium and Cucumber.Carry out exploratory testing of newly implemented features ensuring they are fit for purpose. Perform API testing using Postman and automating using REST Assured with Cucumber.Identify opportunities for automation e.g. test data generation.Define the automation strategy for SIT and UAT.Co-ordinate and delegate automation tasks with off-shore resources in India.Help on-board new members of the team and provide guidance/assistance with the automation framework and test automation standards and processes.
