I manage the development and maintenance of Micro Space planograms working accross every category within the business. Leasing with trading managers to create optimised ranging solutions for use within the retail estate.Additionally I have developed data warehouse integration to greatly improve data availablitlty and drive data conscious descision making.I am currently involved in a range of stratigic projects working with a number of teams accross the business to deploy high profile schemes to increase bisiness turnover.The role has offered me many opportunities to extend my knowledge accross the FMCG sector.

The primary responsibilities of this role were to create and maintain a suite of merchandising planograms to be used in the field by the sales team and by independent retailers across the south-west of England. The day-to-day activities included: Using retail and wholesale data to construct planograms using Nielsen's Spaceman software. Publishing planograms to a web site. Regularly updating and maintaining a database of products to ensure accuracy. Photo editing and archiving to provide 'Live Product Images' on planograms. Liaising with the sales and trading teams. Offering support to independent retailers, occasionally visiting stores.As part of my role I developed the space planning resources to an industry leading level. Working closely with colleagues in macro space and store development I lead a project to develop and improve store models to ensure that the macro & micro space elements would work seamlessly together. Additionally I created documentation and presentations to assist in the use planograms in the field and provided training on the use of Spaceman and other related software packages within the business.

Within this position I was entrusted with Appleby Westwards’ largest client. I was responsible for liaising between companies and managing the rollout of merchandising projects across their estate of over 50 stores. As part of my roll I regularly engaged in sales data analysis, using Spaceman planograms to correctly merchandise products within stores, project planning and co-ordinating, and I was involved in the planning of a promotional campaign for a new store launch.
