About Matthew Pipe
As a former civil engineer with five years of experience, I developed a strong foundation in designing and managing infrastructure projects. However, my passion for creating healthier and more sustainable communities led me back to school to pursue urban planning. Since 2021, I have worked in the Housing Policy and Research Practice at SHS, where I apply both qualitative and quantitative research methods to craft solutions and strategies that aim to increase the supply of affordable housing in Canada.I am driven by the belief that everyone deserves access to safe, affordable housing, and I strive to bridge the gap between policy and practice to make that vision a reality. Whether it's analyzing data, conducting research, or collaborating with local housing partners, I am committed to helping shape communities where people can thrive.
