I was exposed to work from a young age where my grandfather would pay me a quarter to harvest a lug of cherries. From that point at 5 years old and on, I have valued hard work and people's ability to close and finish projects through-and-through. I took a break part-way through my college career to travel to Eastern Suffolk [United Kingdom] and study the art of brew-mastery from one of the oldest breweries in England [Adnams]. When I returned I worked studying the micro-biology of yeast cultures at Whitelabs yeast company in San Diego California. I returned to Washington State with the hopes of using my skills around home in the Chelan Valley but was called into action as a Fabricator at our family's business Van Doren Sales. After a long summer of work, I decided to finish my schooling from home while I worked at the family business. I changed my degree from Wine Business Management to the pursuit of Business Management as a Science. During this period my creativity continued to grow and I realized that I had an opportunity to grow my skills through Van Doren Sales and have worked through various departments at our company, eventually landing as a Technical Writer and Product Marketing specialist. I continue my journey eager to keep adding to this story!
