NHS Financial Management Graduate September 2020 – August 2023I am currently working for the NHS of the finance graduate scheme; I am currently in my final of four placements. During the scheme I have also been taking my ACCA exams and I have currently passed 7 of the exams. Hampshire Hospitals April 2023 – August 2023• Run and adjust ECOD report to be sent out to different budget holders so they can have up to date information regarding staff movements in regards to hours or department of work in the hospital.• Making sure correct information is available to raise variable and fixed invoices.• Helped to deal with FOI requests.• Help complete the month end process. South, Central & West Commissioning Support Unit March 2022 – April 2023• Upload the budgets with the correct profile and coding for the organisation for the year. • I have also been required to upload different corporate journals at month end.• Helped with the on-boarding of new staff. This including reconciling new staff to the positions and finding positions that either had no staff or had an overlap.• The onboarding work also included me working out these staff costs with the PCC to see if there was a variance and then putting in adjustment journals as required. I then looked at the contribution and margin of this area.• Carried out a complete income and expenditure review of clinical quality. I then reviewed the contribution and margin from this. Next I attended meetings with the service line where we were discussing their requests for more staff and seeing if this workable.Solent NHS Foundation Trust July 2021 – March 2022During my placement at Solent I was mainly involved with a piece of project work. This piece of work required me to investigate historical salary overpayments at the organisation. I held a part time position at my local bike store since 2010, this role has helped me to develop to my communication skills whilst also working under pressure and during busy times all of which I feel are important for any role I may take in the future.As well as these skills this role has also involved cash handling, completing online and telephone sales and also dealing with customer complaints all of which are valuable for the future.
