I am an International Affairs master's candidate graduating in spring 2025 seeking an internship in that field. My most significant skills are in foreign languages (proficient in French, Spanish and Russian, can also understand some Mandarin Chinese and Egyptian Arabic) and public speaking. I have experience with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, R, Jython, Salesforce/Tableau, and Qualtrics. I have interned with a faith-based development organizations in Sierra Leone and El Paso/Juárez. I also lived in globally-focused Living Learning Communities for three years in college. For three semesters, I participated in Georgia Tech's Model United Nations Program, earning a Most Improved Delegate award e at the Southern Regional Model United Nations Conference in March 2021. In my undergraduate years, I was also been involved with Christian Campus Fellowship, a campus ministry where I served on the audiovisual team and was a Senior Leader. Currently I serve as a Children’s Ministry volunteer at my local church. These experiences have allowed me to develop relationships with people with radically different life stories from my own and to grapple with real-world quandaries such as abuse and reconciliation. While I understand that these sorts of discussions are not traditional business or political leadership talking points, I believe that developing emotional intelligence is the most important aspect of being successful. I have noticed that insensitive people tend to have to work harder to keep their jobs than those who understand both the pressures facing their own supervisors and the struggles of their employees. Indeed, emotional intelligence does not come naturally to me. I have had to fight for every shred of it that I have, and I still sense that this fight will be a lifelong endeavor.
