With 10 years of experience within the architecture profession, I have been operating as a project runner since 2013 within a range of sectors including museums, residential, commercial, corporate interiors and hospitality.After working in Sydney during my Part 1, I have been working in London since 2011. This time has been spent firstly at Perkins & Will (formerly Pringle Brandon) until 2017, where I gained my Part 3 qualification in 2014. I have since taken an 18 month career break to go travelling through Australasia, Asia and South America, before returning to London in Nov 2018 to work at Milan Babic Architects for 18 months.The variety of sectors, scales and contract types I have worked on has helped me developed a set of skills and experience that span across all the different RIBA stages. This all-round ability allows me to work in a very adaptable manner and to add value to a wide range of project and practice scenarios.Having delivered a number of complex refurbishments on some landmark buildings, I have gained great insight into working with existing fabric, helping to develop creative problem solving skills to tackle the many challenges this type of work encounters. While I enjoy the process of breathing new life into existing buildings, it is also an area I feel passionate about in order to move the industry further towards a more sustainable future.
