As an educator of twenty years, I have taught courses for a vast range of students (age, socio-economic, diverse) at a variety of institutions K-university both within the USA and internationally. Alongside the role of an educator, I have ample experience as an administrator, developing curriculum, producing large-scale events, academic advising, and LMS specialist. For example, I was course lead at Central Piedmont College for music appreciation, jazz appreciation, and applied study (private lessons). Through these roles I oversaw 20-25 faculty members, developed course shells for our LMS system, scheduled multiple events/concerts throughout the academic year, and worked directly as the point person/liaison with our third-party education partners (McGraw-Hill Connect and Norton). I have created and led several festivals in which I was in charge of marketing, recruiting, venue staging, volunteer organizing, budgeting, and other related tasks. An example of this was my role as the artistic director for the 54th annual University of Portland Jazz Festival in 2018. This two-day event featured 30 schools, multiple special guests, and a team of student/faculty volunteers. I was praised by several faculty and members of the community as perhaps the most successful festival to date (at that time).
