Joining the U.S. Army was the best decision I have ever made for myself. The opportunity to serve and protect my country is a great honor and privilege. I attended Basic training in Fort Benning, Georgia under Bravo company 2-47 Infantry Battalion. Upon Graduation, I moved on to Advance individual training where I earned the MOS of a 25B, Information Technology specialist. Progressing in my career, I was stationed in Fort Sill, Oklahoma and immediately deployed overseas to Kuwait for 9 months. Some of my duties downrange were maintaining battalion communications and networks to support the mission under operation inherent resolve. Upon arrival back to the states I have continued my education in Information systems with University Of Maryland Global College. Another accomplishment to highlight, is being Promoted to the rank of Sargeant in 3 years of service. I am currently on track to rank up to staff sargaent in 5 years of service and assume the role as a Telecommunications officer for my battalion. Some interest I have outside the military are to join the FBI or CIA as a contractor. Presently I am working on my packet to apply for a special duty through the Army working at the White House Communications Agency in Washington D.C.I take pride in my job and I am open to learning new things to better my understanding of the field and progress on my career.
