Matt Prost is an educator, administrator, and educational consultant. He currently serves as Vice President at Michigan Lutheran Seminary. He has 32 years of experience in education at the elementary, secondary, and college levels. His primary areas of expertise are making English language arts study clear to students at all levels and secondary school administration. In the past, Matt served as an academic dean and dean of students, coached competitive speech, coached football, and guided schools through the accreditation process of Cognia and Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod School Accreditation.Specialties: My research has centered around the effects of choice in assessment on student achievement and attitude in the English classroom and teacher mentorship. I coached forensics (public speaking) for 18 years with my teams winning the WHSFA Excellence in Speech Award four times (2008, 2009, 2011, 2012) and WFCA State in 2013 and 2014. I am an Outstanding Distinction Coach for the National Forensic League qualifying several students for the national speech and debate tournament while serving as their coach.
