  I am responsible for performing and overseeing practical conservation work on Bicker-shaw Country Park, to protect and enhance the range of species and habitats present on the site. I also carry out routine maintenance around the site to promote access and use of the site by the public. On occasion I am also required to deal with occurrences of anti-social behaviour. Another major part of my role is to lead volunteer working parties ensuring relevant risk assessments are carried out and all health and safety protocols are followed. I am also working to establish a Friends of Bickershaw group to encourage more people to take an interest and get involved in the conservation of the park.I am also responsible for managing the credit card and petty cash for the Wigan office.As part of this role I have also gained some experience with livestock.
