Matthew was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Ingham Property Group in February of 2021. On behalf of the Ingham Property Group Board, Matthew will lead the company through a corporatisation and strategy review process which will set the Group’s businesses on a path to achieve its land management, asset creation and shareholder returns goals for the fifth generation of the Ingham family.Prior to this appointment, Matthew spent over five and a half years leading the Rawson Group of Companies as the Managing Director and CEO. He led the Group through a corporatisation process which doubled the size of the business to achieve over a half billion dollars of sustainable revenue per annum. Rawson Group is now one of the largest residential builders and land developers in NSW. The Group is composed of four business units: Rawson Homes, Rawson Communities, Thrive Homes and Mint Loans. Matthew led the Group through a sale process to Japan’s Daiwa House Industry which settled in February 2018 and he fulfilled his personal and professional commitments to transition the business to its new owners and Board over the following two-and-a-half-year period. Matthew spent over seven and a half years with Stockland in a series of roles starting in 2007. His roles covered Strategy, Corporate Development, Business Development and Capital transactions where he completed a dozen strategy review cycles, purchased $650 million of strategic stakes, raised $1.9 billion of equity, completed the hostile takeover of a $400 million ASX-listed property company and transacted over $3.7 billion of direct property where $1 billion was deployed on key acquisitions.Matthew started his career as a mechanical engineer working for DuPont and General Electric. He continued his engineering focus and transitioned to an operations management path while working for Southern Company, one of the largest power generation companies in the world. After joining the Home Depot, the leading US big‐box hardware retailer, Matthew was part of the team that built the Home Depot’s trade supply business. His team consolidated timber and building material companies to build a $1 billion growth platform.He is an avid ocean racer having completed seven Sydney‐Hobart ocean races and is also a competitive one‐design sailor that competes in Sydney’s elite Etchells fleet. He is a published underwater photographer and wooden boat enthusiast. Matthew grew up on the east coast of the United States, emigrated to Australia in 2006 and is now a joint Australian and United States citizen.
