My research focuses on the analysis of maritime radar sea clutter, multistatic radar, human micro-Doppler and micro-Drone classification / detection.During my time at UCL I have been heavily involved in the collection of a unique bistatic sea clutter dataset during an international experimental campaign working with many collaborators. The collaborators included Thales UK, Thales Netherlands, ONR Global, and the University of Cape Town.My EngD industrial sponsor was Thales UK. Thales is a global company that is a significant player in the aerospace and defense market. Aspects of my research is related to the long-term goals the company has in the area of maritime radar systems. While in this position I have been able to expose myself to both a world-class academic research institution and the cutting edge in industrial R&D.While completing my EngD I have been given the opportunity to take both technical and non-technical modules at UCL and London business School.London Business School Modules:New Technology Ventures:This gave me an excellent insight into the process of developing a new technology into a successful business venture.Leading Teams and Organisations:An excellent applied course on good leadership techniques and practices. Allowing me to improve further my leadership ability and knowledge.In addition I have completed courses on the following topics at UCL:• Radar Systems• Introduction to Telecommunications• Satellite communications• Personal and Professional management skills
