My fourth co-op with the University of Cincinnati brought me to the Cincinnati Insurance Companies where I learned a great deal of programming and picked up some information on insurance. In my department I started out shadowing a team to follow their development process. I was given responsibility to fix bugs in the code while learning about Java and Angular programming.Then there was an intern project, which allowed interns from multiple departments to work together to create a presentation on block chain and its uses for the company. This was presented to managers and executives at the end of the summer. After the presentation I was approached by my manager for an important project. I was in charge of developing an internal website to keep track of all the projects our department was working on. I used Angular JS to code the website and it pulls project data from our database which is easy to update when the time comes.Overall, the experience was everything I could ask for when working for a Fortune 500 company and I'm glad I was accepted into the intern program. I learned what I like and dislike about development while giving back to my department with their internal website. I'm looking into future opportunities with Cincinnati Insurance.

Worked in the Warranty dept. as an IT Co-op.• Downloaded car part repair databases daily to analyze and run queries with to draft reports for my supervisors using Excel & an Access database• Maintained the Access database by adding data sets and new queries• Every week I created PowerPoints for each Valeo site once a month to display the warranty data for the parts they specifically manufactured (utilized the Access database to create the graphs of the part data)
