• Under the direction of the CEO and Executive Committee Board, for the betterment of over 850 skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), 500 intermediate care facilities for the developmentally disabled (ICF/DDs), and 120,000 employees in the capacity of CAHF's in-house lobbyist• Strategize and closely work in conjunction with contract lobbying team in developing and executing advocacy strategies, including political and policy decisions• Represent the organization in matters of California Legislation and Regulatory Oversight, including, but not limited to meetings with Legislators, the Administration, Agency and the Departments; Legislative Policy and Budget Committees; Oversight Hearings; and Stakeholder Meetings• Cultivate and foster relationships with Legislators, the Administration, and the Departments through managing political contributions, grassroots efforts in the district and facility tours throughout the year• Work closely with provider groups, physician groups, businesses, insurance groups, associations, patient advocates, and necessarily form and lead specific coalitions and task forces to defend or advance policy measures• Serve as the point person and liaison for the association’s PAC Board, Legal Subcommittee, and Government Relations Committee while constantly communicating with and educating membership on relevant developments• Board Member, PAC Board Member, and Legislative Executive Member Chair for the Californians Allied for Patient Protection (CAPP) which includes over 300 groups of supporters throughout the healthcare continuum

• Provided the service of being a trial and litigation attorney to numerous medical physicians, hospitals, care facilities, and insurance companies throughout Northern and Southern California• Advocated for physicians and facilities at all times while specializing in medical malpractice and elder abuse defense• Various responsibilities included preparing and arguing motions, conducting and defending depositions, negotiating offers with opposing counsel, meetings with experts, and constantly communicating with clients

• Prepared and submitted bids for professional, collegiate, and amateur sporting events to come to the Sacramento area, and subsequently manage the event through completion• Worked collaboratively with, presented to, and lobbied State and Local government officials, business owners, and officers on a daily basis to advocate specific events and the commission’s goal• Served as the point of contact for operations, marketing, legal matters and sponsorship fulfillments for the events
