I work as an Instructional Designer in the Office of Digital Learning supporting UA Online. I am specifically responsible for the development and ongoing growth of the General Education Academy.

-Provide faculty support for course/content delivery utilizing D2L platform.-Assist in creation and delivery of an instructional design workshop series for faculty.-Conduct needs assessments and work closely with faculty, students, and staff to advance the quality of a variety of teaching and learning initiatives-Assist in development, implementation, and ongoing updates of an online teaching orientation course for UA CON faculty.-Provide input and support in creating and implementing tools and materials that promote and support online learning.-Maintain blog and faculty resource database to support instruction and course development.-Conduct Quality Matters internal reviews and facilitate process to prepare courses for official Quality Matters reviews.

-Coordinate and assist in development and carrying out of College of Education (COE) Outreach Programs. Including the Paul Lindsey Internship Program, Passport 2 High School Institute Summer Camp Program, Tree-ring Lab Teacher Outreach Program (FhIRE), and various other Community Outreach efforts carried about the COE.-Develop and implement technology to support COE Outreach, including online components of programs, mobile apps, web page development, and the application process for the L3 Major in the COE.-Administer and monitor all social networking for the COE, including development and implementing strategies to increase interactivity with current students, faculty, alumni, and friends of the college.-Coordinated the development and printing of the College of Education magazine-Assist in the mission of the UA STEM Learning Center, including membership on the PreK-20 Pathways workgroup.-Manage day to day administrative duties for the COE Directors including, monitoring spending and budget allocations, ordering supplies, preparing reports, and ensuring procedure compliance.

-Taught World Studies/Geography, US/AZ History, Economics, US/AZ Government, and AP Government-Designed, researched, and implemented the AP Government curriculum-Participated in the Instructional Interventions Program. Efforts aimed at decreasing failure rates and increasing student achievement.-Utilized record keeping software, Synergy, for compiling student information, recording attendance, grades, and providing electronic resources and communication to parents-Integrated technology to facilitate 21st century learning, including but not limited to; Windows Movie Maker, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Web 2.0 technologies and GoogleDocs-Developed an online social networking community to facilitate discussions as well as have an access point to all course materials and resources for students, parents, and educators-Implemented online teaching into curriculum to increase student achievement and prepare students for post high school style courses-Planned and implemented technology based, cross-curricular learning at Marana High School as a member of the Science and Technology Learning Community-Provided support for the use of technology in the classroom for the Social Studies Department and the Science and Technology Learning Community-Incorporated opportunities for students to utilize technology to become 21st century learners throughout daily lessons-Advised high school seniors for college preparation
