In this role I am to visit residential and commercial properties on behalf of Severn Trent Water to carry out repairs and installation of Severn Trent property, risk is assessed and recorded at every job. As lone workers we are expected to keep our workspace clean and respectable as well as being professional at all times. I have always hit or exceeded the companies targets in regards to jobs completed and KPI attendances. Time management is especially important as appointments need to be attended on time as failure to do so will lead to a financial penalty and a potential complaint, in the case of a complaint we need to have detailed documentation to mitigate the actions that may have led to the complaint.

I provided consultancy for digital lock installations, ensuring customers received the most cost-effective solution to mitigate security risks. This included frequent liaison with customers or senior members of the organisation, risk assessments of proposed installations and reporting. Digital locks would need to be individually coded using computer software so as to be bespoke to the customer. Trust and the highest levels of confidentiality were required to the point where we could not tell anybody what our job was.

Pressured fast-paced work where I looked after daily business operations from sales to costs, consistently delivering high quality, service, and cleanliness on top of being a role model for staff and coaching new and existing employees in tasks, procedures and customer hospitality. In my tenure I slashed food costs by 50% within the first month which was previously the highest costs in the group by implementing new procedures and training. Generally everything to keep a business ticking and in profit.

Employed through word of mouth, my knowledge of mechanics was lifted here but I also brought my skills to the table with what I had learned in my own business, so I brought the business online and had a hand in car sales in their showroom. Hard manual work where the highest standards are expected.

Specialist performance car garage business started with my Dad. This was where all my foundations and character was born ranging from sales and marketing, advertising, mechanics to work and business ethics, resilience and drive. A great experience and learning curve.
