I started my journey in Financial Services in October 2019. Predominantly responsible for compliance reporting and business development, qualifying as a Mortgage Adviser in 2021 and qualifying for the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning in March 2023.I worked in the charity sector for 14 years, as Director of Finance and Resources for a regional charity, working in partnership with national and local funding streams to enable the delivery of much needed support services across Lancashire and Greater Manchester. Prior to the charity sector I worked for a UK Financial Group as Group Accountant, a Telecommunications company as Financial Accountant and an International Manufacturing Group as Factory Accountant. Prior to this having worked for several years within practice whilst working towards qualifying, predominantly carrying out audits and accounts preparation.I like to add a common sense approach to complicated financial situations whilst trying to achieve the best results for everyone involved. My time in the charity concentrated on creating a robust financial framework enabling controls and accountability, alongside clear cost efficient models of repeatable operational delivery. The group role concentrated on compliance and meeting reporting deadlines.My roles within industry concentrated on maximising profitability and simplifying processes. My roles in audit gave me a vast experience on a range of different industries and provided a solid foundation of knowledge and expertise working within a compliant framework.
