• Reviewed monthly reconciliations on Balance Sheet and Income statement accounts• Performed accounting for the firm’s fixed assets and depreciation. This includes tracking office projects and budgets and Journal Entries associated with capitalization and depreciation• Prepared monthly reports on budget variances and review for any material discrepancies• Executed Payroll journal entries for each pay period, reviewing for GL account coding and variances• Integrated new foreign subsidiary from Singapore to accounting. In this role I worked closely with our Mexico office to manage the ledger. This included Bank Reconciliations, month end journal entries and account reconciliations, creating and maintaining any Intercompany Transactions between US and Mexico, along with being in line with tax codes. I worked on multi-year tax audits and dealt with the multi-currency transactions.I also managed all taxes for the US firm. I filed, paid, managed the calendar, and provided data to our tax team. This included Sales/Use, Property, Business Income, and all state and federal income taxes. I also helped lead a project to rewrite the Chart of Accounts for the firm. This involved evaluating each account, rewriting descriptions, removing or changing accounts.

In my role as a team lead, I supported a team of 6 individuals by answering questions, helping with projects that came up and by training and onboarding of new employees onto my team. I also was put onto special project teams and assisted my manager in balancing workloads, conflicts and issues that would arise. I also supported my manager in routine coaching of individual members of the team. This was done while maintaining a billing load and completing all tasks that I performed as a Client Accounting Specialist as well.
