Established the function of the ER membrane protein complex (EMC) during early stages of multipass membrane protein biogenesis and Dengue Virus infection using a combination of ribosome profiling and targeted biochemical approaches. Collaborated with Michael Fischbach's lab to understand mechanisms of action for microbiome-derived metabolite signaling to host cells using phenotype-rich CRISPR screening with scRNA-seq.
