About Matthew Sinofsky
I am a junior studying media production and journalism at Belmont University, in Nashville. As a part of my interdisciplinary education, I participate in relevant extracurriculars like writing and producing video for the student newspaper (the Belmont Vision) and working for our athletic department's production team. I am also a cadet in Vanderbilt University's Army ROTC program, in simultaneous membership with the TNARNG's 105th Personnel Co. My cadet training includes triweekly physical training, weekly leadership class and lab, monthly drill, and semesterly field training exercises. These extracurriculars paired with strong education help me simultaneously develop strong understanding in my academic field and the leadership skills necessary to succeed in a workplace environment; a good worker always knows the job a level above them. My new experiences in college have expanded upon leadership skills I developed in high school through captainship on two varsity athletic programs, producing a daily live morning update broadcast, and participating in Boy Scouts and Order of the Arrow, reaching Eagle and Brotherhood ranks respectively. My passion for journalism and video began in high school, leading to two nominations (and one win) in the Fox61 Student News contest, two prize wins for the Just Drive PSA contest, and a prize win for the Just Drive Social Media Campaign contest.
