About Matthew Smith
I hold a deep care and passion for ecological biodiversity and regeneration and so much of what I’ve chosen to do in my life has been in service of this. I’ve sailed the world, founded and successfully lead 2 major Irish environmental organisations and collaborated on various projects in England, Ireland aboard; incl. magazine and film production, creating and managing music festivals & team management for Finisterre’s ambassador program. All this has gained me experience and built my skills in team leadership and effective communication; project management and innovation; knowledge and application of practical skills like agro-forestry, yacht masters & IT. Although the majority my work has been different in strategy they shared a common core message and goal, to protect and promote the environment. Over the years I have been resourceful and used different talents to deliver the same message whilst actively being part of the regenerative practices.
