ECS has grown to be the largest, privately held Demand Response Provider in the United States currently managing, for example, a portfolio of resources in New York which represents the majority of that state’s demand response reserves or approximately 850 MW’s of on-call curtailable load. Participants come from a variety of industries including all areas of the manufacturing sector, school systems, hotels, retail, healthcare facilities and various other commercial properties. Recently we have secured contracts with a number of significant utilities across the country with respect to their demand response objectives. Those services range from a simple review / analysis of existing programs to, in the absence of a current workable program, actually collaboratively establishing a complete program(s). As of late and on a more frequent basis we have been asked to simply bring DR resources directly to the utility independently. In fact we are the exclusive agent for Kansas City Power and Light in their demand response effort while we also actively participate in the New England, PJM, Ontario and California markets.
