About Matthew Stanosz
I love what I do. It’s that simple. I am incredibly lucky to have my profession be my hobby and because of that I am driven to excel. I bring passion to each project and I am determined that each one will be the best that it can be. I enjoy all aspects of production but I’m especially drawn to editing and post-production work where stories come together and the final project is shaped.I have worked extensively in the Adobe suite, with the majority of my time spent in Premiere, After Effects, Sound Booth, and Photoshop. I also have a working knowledge of Illustrator and Lightroom. I feel I am strongest in Adobe, I believe that good work skills and hard work transcend the program used to deliver the end results. I have worked with Sony and Canon cameras primarily but I think it's important to be flexible in a world where camera technology changes quickly.Each project is a unique challenge and a story that needs to be told in its own way. The outcome is dictated by the project and I try to approach each one with an open mind, letting the communication needs of the client direct what the project format should ultimately become.I love creating. Sometimes it’s engaging content. Sometimes it’s systems and teams. At WPS Health Insurance I was the first multimedia hire and continued a project to build the team, selecting equipment and determining future needs. As demand grew I was promoted to lead our new team as we supported a company wide rebrand. I shot and edited commercials for the Medicare supplement business line and continued to lead my team and participate in the creation of more which have been a central part of the campaign that has driven an increase in sales. Our projects have won awards but more importantly they've made an impact on the company which drives me to create even better content.While with UW-Extension I grew our multimedia area, which led to a live streaming service and multimedia studio. I chose equipment and collaborated with outside groups to make live streaming a reality. We successfully streamed premiere events with large in room and remote audiences such as UW Commencement, Go Big Read and the Annual Ethics in Journalism Conference . I led as we developed a studio that would allow for television style productions that would minimize production cost and time while maximizing the quality of the final product.At the end of the day I want to let my work stand on its own. I lead the design of a television-style production that would be easy to use and pre-set for minimal set-up. Video responsibilities included pre-production, equipment setup, camera operation and direction, live streaming, post-production, and content delivery in various formats. Additional responsibilities included duplication of various types of media, analog transfers, and digital file conversion and the preparation of materials for distribution.
