Army Captain with 15 years of service. I Joined the Army as a Cavalry Scout (19D) in 2009. As a Scout I mastered the art of reconnaissance, numerous weapon systems, military vehicles, and leadership. In 8 years I was promoted to Sergeant First Class and selected to participate in the Army's Green to Gold Program, finishing my Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security. I was selected to become an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officer and in 2021 graduated the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal. EOD officers are responsible for the rendering safe and disposal of explosive hazards, including improvised, chemical and nuclear devices. Additionally, EOD officers coordinate and assist local law enforcement, government agencies, and the United States Secret Service. I've served in Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn and in Afghanistan in support of Enduring Freedom.
