To assist the lecturer in practical lessons in the Reflected Light Microscopy second year module and the Mineral Deposits third year module.Work involved using the skills I have learned in my previous years and fourth year project to assist the lecturer in teaching students in the second and third years in identifying minerals from there characteristic optical properties and textures under reflected light and help the students understand the mechanisms involved their formation.

Work involved examining rock samples to determine the presence of indicator minerals and alteration minerals using macro observations in hand specimen and a Teraspec mass spectrometer. Work also involved archiving journals, inputting geochemical data into databases .
