Promotion to Expert level requires a business need– length of service alone is not sufficient."I supported the development and launch of the Agilent 4200 TapeStation system, troubleshooting the transfer and validation of the existing product portfolio onto new instrument hardware.I was also the project manager for large a multi-disciplinary research project into new methods and techniques to significantly improve the speed and performance of the ScreenTape platform. The aim of which was to provide the basis for the development of next generation ScreenTape products.This involved assessing the entire system (chemistry, hardware, and software), redesigning and optimising instrument components, ScreenTape consumables, and reagent chemistry. As well as developing new algorithms and methods of data processing. Several results from this project are being presented at the Agilent Technical Conference 2018.I was also project manager for several smaller projects to support manufacturing of ScreenTape consumables;- Developing methods for QA by multivariate chemometric analysis- Developing method of product QC by multivariate analysis- Improving product Shelf-life. Following the acquisition of Lab901 by Agilent Technologies I continued to work in product development for the ScreenTape platform within the Microfluidics Product line.I was the project manager and principal researcher for the development of the RNA and HS RNA ScreenTape assays, which were launched in 2013. This included the development and validation of the RINe RNA quality metric, which was presented at ESHG 2013.

Research and Development principally but not limited to development of Protein ScreenTape products. Lead on P200 ScreenTape system Application and Method Development, including the application of ScreenTape as a Process Analytical Technology (PAT) for Bioreactor production.Key tasks also include research and development of reagent kit chemistry to improve and optimise performance, and working to improve practices and protocols in instrument qualification.

Work on the development and release of the P200 ScreenTape analytical platform.Specifically:Development and validation of reagents for the platform.Development and validation of industrial applications for the platform.
