As a Software Developer, I have been responsible for developing bespoke applications for various customers. I am working primarily in .NET, developing high quality services with an emphasis on robustness, through rigorous unit, integration and end to end testing. I have also developed new apps in React, with a focus on WCAG compliance. I have also gained a lot of experience in deploying and debugging dockerized applications in both K8's and Puppet.

Since late 2020, as a part-time commitment, I have been held the position of CTO at Eden Greenspace. Our primary objective is to provide a service that helps businesses and individuals alike to create positive environmental impacts through our web-based system. So far, our community has planted over 9500 trees, removed over 700kgs of plastic from the ocean, rewilded over 1200m2 of land and provided over 150 solar lights to African families. Using the knowledge gained from my placement year, I have been the sole developer of our website, but I am also regularly in discussion with the founding partners about the wider business directives.

As part of my degree, I undertook a 12-month industrial placement as a software engineer at BSquare, Trowbridge. I worked as part of an Agile team on a refactoring project for a web based IoT system. My work initially consisted of fixing small bugs, but as the year progressed, I was given more responsibility to develop new features. This gave a good balance, of having to understand and adapt the code of others, aswell as writing new code that is both readable and adaptable.
