Following a degree in Physics at Oxford I completed a PhD in Astrophysics developing software to perform modelling and statistical analysis to understand galaxy evolution. I am currently the Director for Architecture, Consulting and Enablement for UK&I at Databricks, focussed on helping customers build and deploy Apache Spark and machine learning models at scale. Prior to this I was the senior data science manager at Barclaycard UK in strategic analytics, building a data science capability from scratch for this area of Barclays. I have held previous roles at large consultancy firms, most notably at Capgemini as a Senior Data Scientist.
