Running a small bed and breakfast in the Lake District. Includes most administrative aspects, managing the business finances and expenses, as well as most home maintenance and improvements.

A key administrative contact for Student Engagement activities, including:- being the key University contact for the Student Representatives Scheme- administering the University promotion and rewards schemes for the National Student Survey (NSS)- administering (and writing the code to output all the results) for the pilot Course Evaluation Surveys- administering Staff awards for teaching excellent- Secretary for many University committees- various other Student Engagement projectsDuring this time, I was also elected as a staff representative on the University Senate, attended various conferences and engaged heavily in Technology Enhanced Learning (blended/hybrid learning).

In this role I provide administrative support for the taught masters courses in physics, astronomy and mathematics at the University of Sussex. Working with academic and professional services staff, I maintain student files, webpages and communications with students related to their MSc.In addition to this, I am the secretary to the School Student Progress Committee, which monitors student engagement and issues warnings and can withdraw students who should no longer remain on their course.I am also the point of contact in the office for Mitigating Evidence Claims, advice on engagement monitoring and Postgraduate Examination Boards (MABs and PABs).

Hitting the ground running in a busy exams department at a city centre college, during this role I took charge of plumbing, travel, BTEC, some functional skills and NVQ qualifications and examinations. During this role I introduced spreadsheets and forms to improve the administrative processes, which otherwise were handled manually. In this role I was the runner up for Best Staff Newcomer 2012-13 (most impact in a short space of time).

Taking on this role as maternity cover, I was the sole administrative officer and purchase order officer on site. The role involved administrative tasks such as managing the incoming and outgoing students at a busy halls of residence, supporting maintenance and cleaning processes, plus some filing and writing letters.In addition, this included some lone working and the annual deep clean - checking out all 33 flats (bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, living areas and kitchens in all their disgusting states).

Originally hired as a floating support worker at a supported housing project for vulnerable teens and adults. This involved a lot of lone working and handling difficult situations while working sporadic night and day shifts, such as violence, suicide attempts and arson. This had to be responded to swiftly and appropriately, bringing in emergency services while ensuring the residents were supported and safe.I was later asked to take on the administration of the project while the permanent staff member was ill. I handled the resident's rent arrears and sent letters to residents in breach of tenancies, made posters and improved administrative processes to handle these functions.

Working in the community with a caseload of around ten service users, I was tasked with supporting individuals with mental health problems access support, education and leisure activities while living in the community.In this role, I was almost exclusively lone-working full-time, with a great reliance on my personal and compassionate skills. Confidentiality, health and legal issues had to be considered at all times.
