I specialize in accident reconstruction and the biomechanics of injury. I have experience analyzing vehicle and premises accidents including automotive, heavy truck, pedestrian, and bicycle collisions, as well as slips, trips, and falls. I am trained and certified in the retrieval and analysis of data from automobile and heavy truck event data recorders (EDRs, aka airbag modules/"black boxes"). Further, I am an FAA licensed sUAS ("drone") pilot and trained laser scanner with extensive experience documenting and analyzing collision scenes. My background in mechanical engineering and biomechanics includes dynamic analysis and control, motion capture, vehicle dynamics, failure analysis, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), laser scanning, medical device design, and injury analysis.Prior to joining InSciTech, I researched post‐traumatic knee osteoarthritis after sports injury with the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University while completing my Ph.D.Prior to Stanford, I studied mechanical engineering at Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo, while playing on the Division 1 basketball team there.
