Matt has had general partner management responsibilities in many private fund offerings and oversees these funds in addition to his portfolio management duties in VergePointe Wealth Management, LLC. He oversees the firm's investment in real estate projects in the Portland Metro area as well as investments in businesses in the United States and Canada. Matt serves as the firm’s Chief Investment Officer and runs the investment committee.Currently, Matt is the Chairman of the Board at William Henry, LLC as well as at Tanner Goods, LLC. He is also a board member at Allstar Magnetics, LLC, ESAM, Inc, Bay Computer Associates, Inc., Silicon Forest Electronics, Inc., Coastal Connections, Inc. and EEI Manufacturing, Inc. He previously served on the Board of Trustees for his alma mater, Linfield University. He also previously served as a member of the Providence Medical Systems of Oregon Planned Giving Advisory Board and as a member of the St. Andrew Legal Clinic “Taste For Justice” wine benefit auction advisory committee. In addition, he previously served as a board member of Herbers Autobody, an observer to the Board at Snapware Corporation, the Vice-Chair of the Executive Board of the North Pacific Conference of the Covenant Church, Vice-Chair of the Linfield University Business Advisory Council and as a member of the Linfield University Alumni Council. Matt graduated with honors from Linfield University and is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as well as a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®). In addition, he has received the Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) designation. He also holds a series 65 securities license. He was also designated as one of Portland Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40”.Outside of work, he resides in Lake Oswego, OR and is a husband to his wife and a father to his three children. He currently coaches youth lacrosse and was formerly the President of Lake Oswego Youth Lacrosse and has previously coached in the Lake Oswego Youth Basketball program.
