-Worked closely with youth from diverse backgrounds including private/school, probation, and DCFS placements-Learned the best ways to help each youth navigate their behaviors and traumas including Think Trauma training to replace our previous CPI, human trafficking training and approach, and LGBTQ+ training to best serve that population's needs-Supported youth in reaching their academic goals during treatment, including GEDs and general homework support, working closely with teachers according to their IEP-Supervised and led a team of paraeducators staffed at Arrowhead, supporting them through their work with the youth, teachers, and education duties-Wrote daily reports on each youth and continued to communicate between shifts, including reading and discussing reports with other staff to support the youth’s treatment plans and success-Supervised special procedures including youth illness, suicide watch, all crisis management and enforced these rules and guidelines with youth and staff to keep each youth’s education and treatment plan the primary focus-Worked collaboratively to run day programs such as Rise Up Garden Project, outreach such as Kwik Star Festival of Trees and the John Deere Classic
