Primarily working on backend side of the application with some front end tasks being assigned.

While working at Braya an opportunity came to return to my previous role with the company. This was a chance to take on more responsibility and be more involved in the management of the project. As an operator a key role is to provide permits for work to be done, these permits allow us to keep track of work and its progress as well as ensure the proper safety measures are taken. Since returning to this position I have taken it upon myself on several occasions to dedicate my work day to managing the permits for the project.

Due to the pandemic resulting in my job loss from North Atlantic I broadened my job search and found this position. After a robust training schedule I was answering phone calls from clients using employment insurance. During my time there I had volunteered for pilot projects where I was assigned to the processing centre to help work through the backlog of files created due to the pandemic. This position was a fantastic opportunity for me to develop my soft skills as I would be helping anyone from all across the country.

After graduating from CNA I was able to get a job shortly after with NARL. I was monitoring and maintaining equipment and changing process flows. After only working there for a short time I had requested to be apart of an upcoming shutdown to be a gas monitor for to test the areas for other workers to ensure their safety. This allowed me to control the work areas so that jobs were conducted in safe working conditions.
