In March 2009 we successfully demonstrated the use of the burst mode laser in the 31 inch Mach 10 wind tunnel at NASA Langley Research. Additional experiments were conducted in September 2009. • Experimentally investigated pico-second RELIEF flow velocimetry methods by vibrationally exciting molecular oxygen and imaging the laser induced fluorescence. o Gave a talk at the 46th AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting, Reno, Nevada, Jan. 2008• Assembled, altered and adapted lasers and other equipment to fit the needs of experiments. • Coursework included: Laser Fundamentals, Optical Techniques in Flows, Quantum Mech., Thermodynamics, Kinetics, Statistical Mech., etc. • Developed complex problem solving skills, through both coursework and research. • Worked as a teaching assistant and mentor to help students understand material discussed in class, and their experiments.
