Senior Industrial Designer
I have been involved with Ainsworth Game Technology’s (AGT) R&D department for 11 years, designing their A600, A620, A640, A-Star & Raptor gaming machines (poker machines). At AGT I worked with a team of 12-14 people that includes managers, industrial designers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and manufacturing specialists. 80% of the work carried out for AGT was completed remotely offsite at my personal office. I always have a willingness to be involved in team discussions. While working offsite I would have regular skype review meetings with other team members to ensure the design requirements were met efficiently. This industrial design work for AGT has involved: -• Generation of concepts• Creating mock-ups and prototypes via 3D printing and CNC Machining• Mechanical/engineering design of plastic injection mouldings, aluminium & zinc castings, investment castings, extrusions & sheet metal components• Large assembly management and part detailed design• Design for manufacture (including GD&T)• 2D drawings and documentation• Working with mechanical and electrical engineers and support technicians.• Liaising with toolmakers and manufacturers.1
