During my time at AK&P I was permanently embedded with a leading Credit & Political Risk team in the Lloyd's of London insurance market. Among my primary responsibilities were:- Undertake bespoke political and economic risk analysis or projects and assets around the world with particular reference to various political risk insurance perils, including: Confiscation, Expropriation, Nationalisation, Deprivation (CEND); strikes, riots and civil commotion (SR&CC); War, Terrorism and Political Violence (WTPV); Forced Divestiture; Currency Inconvertibility; Revolution, and Insurrection, among others. - Formulate a concise understanding of the potential political, economic and conflict-linked risks faced by a project or asset during a timeframe of up to 15 years. Though the analytical scope of this role was global, the principal regions of analysis were Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA).

I helped to support British business with current or prospective operations in Mexico by offering solutions to the diverse range of needs they may have in the country from the PwC global network, and aiding them in achieving their full potential.

In this position I carried out out global political and economic analysis in order to identify risks and opportunities in the global multi-asset investment environment. This was coupled with the evaluation of investment funds, through performance analysis and fund manager meetings, representing a wide range of asset classes and geographical focuses, in order to identify those which best fit the risk profile and investment objective required.
