Matthew W. Wright, CFA is the Founder and President of Disciplina Group, incorporated in 2013 to provide investment services provided through Disciplina Capital Management to small to mid-sized charitable organizations via an outsourced chief investment officer service model and risk advisory service to large institutional investors (over $1.0 billion in assets) through Disciplina Advisors. Prior to creating Disciplina, Matthew was the Vice Chancellor for Investments and Chief Investment Officer of Vanderbilt University. In his position he led a twenty person team called the Office of Investments, responsible for coordinating with the Investment Committee of the Board of Trust and investment oversight of the university’s $3.7 billion long term investment portfolio, which included the university endowment. Prior to joining Vanderbilt University in the summer of 2007, Matthew was the Director of Investments at Emory University for over six years. While at Emory his primary duties included implementation of asset allocation policies, investment strategy, manager selection, internal trading and portfolio management within Emory’s endowment. Prior to joining Emory, Matthew worked for Bank of America Capital Management's Quantitative Strategies Group as a portfolio manager and Xerox Corporation’s Trust Investments department as an investment analyst. He is also a member of the CFA Institute, Member of the Board of Regents of Seton Hall University, Board Member of Youth Life Foundation of Tennessee, and Former Trustee and Investment Committee Chair for The Ensworth School in Nashville, Tennessee.
