Matthew is a Yale University alum, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, & a seasoned finance & real estate professional, with nearly 15 years of experience across several firms & industries. He currently serves as CFO of FlexWork Sports, a best-in-class event management and sports marketing company specializing in professional athlete youth sports​ camps. He also serves as CFO of Community Labs, a COVID-19 testing lab that he helped grow from scratch to a $100m run rate business in only 6 months while offering testing costs 85% lower than the market average.As a consultant, Matthew helps private companies stand up finance organizations & helps create & implement strategic plans. Recently, he spent 15 months with a private tech unicorn standing up the FP&A organization, optimizing sales operations, & standardizing reporting & analytics deliverables ahead of company IPO.​Previously, he spent 3 years at Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund as the FP&A lead for the firm’s largest department, where his responsibilities included P&L management, budgeting, & strategic planning.​He spent 5 years at Gartner before that, where he earned the CFO Award of Excellence in 2016 for his work championing the company's workforce planning initiative, strategizing for the company’s long-term human capital management & real estate portfolio growth needs. He was a key member of the integration team for a $3B acquisition, where he focused on office lease integration decisions as well as personnel re-organizations. Matthew managed a portfolio of over 100 office locations in 40+ countries, handling negotiations on various NNN buildings & sublease agreements. He also created all DCF/budget models for all office locations.
