    While in this position I was rated as the top lieutenant of 28 in the battalion over the course of this rating period, and at least top five on each evaluation in over three years in the unit. I conducted analysis of multiple large scale military training events and other projects for the battalion headquarters and supporting units in order to allocate necessary land, ammunition and other supplies. Also, I planned and supervised a complete inventory of over 1,000 pieces of equipment in order to correct deficiencies and facilitate a change of company commanders in both January 2013 and June 2014. In April 2013, I supervised the joint maintenance inspection which preceded a major convoy operation that successfully moved over 40 tactical vehicles from Fort Hood, TX to Fort Polk, LA.This was the first such movement in nearly 10 years.During this time I was deployed to Afghanistan where I managed the successful deployment of 297 personnel and $100 million in equipment into the combat zone, along with a subsequent distribution of personnel and supplies to 4 bases spread across 13,000 sq km in Regional Command East. I balanced the priorities for 17 unique platoons and staff sections; ensured each maintained proper accountability of all assigned equipment and conducted all scheduled maintenance to standard. I established and continuously tracked each system of record used throughout the company in order to effectively communicate an accurate picture of company operations to higher level headquarters. This position required I build relationships with multiple agencies, civilian and military, to ensure consistent support for the company through a wide range of operations from security to logistics and maintenance.
