I studied how to process orders so that I could better understand how to control our inventory. I picked up the phone and called our customers to ask, “How can I help?” in an effort to learn about our opportunities and our customers’ expectations. By inserting myself in every aspect of the business, I was able to best understand the fundamentals of the company and build a strong foundation for knowledgeable leadership. Today, I manage the finance, design, customer success, operations, technology and business development departments. My main focus is driving the strategic direction of the business and looking ahead to determine where we’re going as an organization. This includes building the team with new talent, embracing new technology so that we can work smarter and collaborating with the business development team. Whether it’s working with our internal team, our largest customer, or a new client I’m getting to know, I’m excited to design and engineer products that enhance brands, and increase efficiency and mobility. As we continue to innovate, we are developing cutting edge products that combine the latest technology for the specific needs of our customers. It begins with an idea and turns into designing a revolutionary product.

The strategies we developed presented fresh ways for audiences to engage with their favorite television shows. For example, before it was mainstream, we developed an interactive television model where people could vote from their remote. This role provided me with significant exposure to not only the technology that keeps organizations such as FOX and AT&T running, but also to the people who make them successful. As a consultant for AKQA, I worked on the acquisition of four agencies, bringing together separate company cultures, disparate corporate messaging and myriad teams to create a new and cohesive organization that became one of the most successful digital media agencies in the world.
