Other duties included preparing Clarium's filings (Forms ADV, 13F, SH, CFTC-40, etc.) with the SEC, NFA, and other regulatory bodies; overseeing adherence to client mandates and internal compliance policies; reviewing all periodic performance reports to investors; and monitoring regulatory trading limits. He was chairman of the firm's conflicts committee and a member of its committees on risk, valuation, best execution, and proxy voting.As VP, Regulatory Affairs, Mr. Alexander was responsible for following and advising the firm on regulatory and legislative developments in the aftermath of the financial crisis, including Dodd-Frank in the U.S. and the AIFMD in Europe. He was Clarium's liaison to the Managed Funds Association (MFA), serving on the steering committee of that body's CCO Forum, its CFTC Reg Affairs Subcommittee and AIFMD Campaign; and representing Clarium on MFA's Founders Council.
