Implementing a clinical systems project improving use of hospital IT systems in safe and detailed patient discharges using 'System C - Medway' and 'System C - Clinical Noting' systems, as well as JAC Prescribing systems. Enabling better use of systems already employed to help Doctors produce more detailed and relevant discharge summaries, use information in a leaner way, improve automation, reduce workload on Doctors, and improve hospital revenue due to improved information available for clinical coding of patient encounters. During my time in the department I have managed business change of multiple departments throughout the hospital, and have achieved a change of compliance for discharge summary information from 3.35% to 75.8%. I have also implemented an exemplar status to a high-turnover ward, successfully planned and rolled out electronic whiteboards and personal devices to the same ward. I have planned the change from paper to electronic capture of patient information for the surgical stream in a Foundation Trust Hospital. I have also helped bring together the region's CCIO and Clinical Informatics leaders to help create a Faculty for Medical Informatics along side Health Education England (North).

The job entailed two rotations through the department - Dermatology Oncology (Including Basal Cell Carcinoma Clinic, Melanoma Screening Clinic, Post-Transplant Skin Cancer Clinic, Skin Surgery) and Outreach Dermatology (General Dermatology Clinics, BCC Clinic, Skin Surgery, Psoriasis Clinic). Became independent with punch biopsy over entire body (scalp, face - excluding eyes and lips, neck, body, hands and feet, groin and buttocks). Became highly proficient in curved ellipse removal of facial Basal Cell Carcinomas. Became independent in curettage and cautery.
