Matthew Allen is the Managing Director Magnopus UK.REWIND was founded in 2011 by Sol Rogers and Matthew Allen and quickly became a pioneer in the immersive community, delivering award-winning work for global brands including Red Bull, BBC, HBO, Jaguar, Paramount, and Universal Pictures. After working side by side for years and discovering our shared vision, Magnopus acquired REWIND in March 2021 to continue its ground breaking work across AR, VR and XR. This has united some of the world’s greatest talent in real-time engineering, immersive technology, and spatial design and created one global organisation with a laser-focused mission: to unite the physical and digital. The now global team is working on the creation of the content and platforms needed to blur the lines between the physical and digital, connecting people and empowering them with the inspiration and tools to create a better future. Matthew is the driving force behind many of REWIND’s award-winning projects, including the 9x award winning BBC Home: A VR Spacewalk, and REWIND’s Emmy-nominated Silicon Valley: Inside the Hacker Hostel. As joint founder, Matthew helped shape and grow REWIND into a 45-person plus company, creating innovative and world-leading digital projects for brands such as NBC Universal, Sony, Red Bull, HBO, Jaguar, and Björk. Matthew is a key part of the pitch creation process, presenting a unique blend of creative and technical solutions for some of the world’s largest studios, agencies and brands.Prior to founding REWIND, Matthew attained a Masters Degree in Digital Animation at the University of Hertfordshire.
