Provided core support to SABIC across a range of Stewardship activities, including U.S. and global regulatory affairs, chemicals management, raw material sourcing, support for innovation and business development, green chemistry and sustainability, advocacy, and strategy.• Served as Product Stewardship liaison and member of the Sustainability core team. Co-lead for Stewardship’s green chemistry efforts, including reviews for eco-label compliance, support for Flame Retardants program review and innovation research, and Score-carding efforts across all SBUs. • Supported core regulatory affairs activities for SABIC. Tasks included polymer registrations and notifications (China, Australia, U.S., Canada), reviews for TSCA import/export compliance, updates and regulatory monitoring for the business, development of training and guidance materials, and communication with government agencies.• Coordinated and completed U.S. EPA Chemical Data Reporting (CDR) process for SABIC IP and SABIC Americas (2012). Established contacts for each business unit and location, collected and reviewed data (12 manufacturing/import locations), cross-referenced with master import and direct materials purchases lists, and entered data in EPA’s electronic reporting system (CDX). • Active in advocacy via the Styrene Information & Research Center (SIRC) Task Group and American Chemistry Council (ACC) Product Stewardship Working Group. ACC work in 2012 focused on the revision to the Responsible Care Product Safety Code.
