My role was to create all the written pieces needed for promotion of the site. This often included:- Press Releases- Newsletters- Site Articles- Site Content- Social Media Pages- Email MarketingI also concerned myself with SEO, search engine optimization. Through SEO I worked to:- optimize the meta design of each webpage- research and orient a webpage with specific goals and keywords in mind- guide the creation of new content - utilize web analyticsI also spearheaded linking strategies and other online tactics to increase the visibility and quality of the website.Outside of writing, I supervised part-time and intern employees. I also assisted in managing our team of bloggers and writers, behaving as a supervisor and editor as needed.

My task was to create a complete public relations package.I began by conducting an independent study of the grounds, hiking the Nolde trails and carefully snapping pictures that I believed exhibited the finest qualities of the forest.I then utilized the Nolde Library and local historical centers to dig as deeply into the history of the location as possible. Through these resources I was able to trace the history of the original Nolde settlers all the way back to their German roots.From their I streamlined the information and pictures I had gathered and created a series of brochures, fact sheets, advertisement pieces, business cards, and flyers. Each piece highlighted a different valuable asset that Nolde offered, from its Tudor styled mansion to its various hiking trails. Ultimately I created a public relations package that could be sent out piece by piece, or altogether as a comprehensive folder.

Penn State joined with NAACP to create a book entitled "Woven with Words: History of African Americans in Berks County."My job was to conduct both independent and team-based investigation and writing in regards to slavery throughout Berks County's history. I also served on the editorial board during the books production. Furthermore, I was one of three panelists to visit the Harrisburg NAACP Conference and conduct a presentation/Q&A on our findings during the writing of this book.
