As a tax consultant at Cooper Norman, I specialize in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation and business consulting. I have developed expertise in the medical, small business, and financial service industries. From planning strategies to preparing tax returns, my goal is to ensure that clients gain the most advantageous tax position at the business and individual levels. I also resolve tax issues with the IRS and state authorities, and am developing expertise in business valuation and litigation support.

Grants And Contracts Accounting

As the Director of Special Projects for Grants and Contracts Accounting, my responsibilities were vast and varied. I created the first draft of the ISU Grants Budget for fiscal year 2013. I built physical and digital files in the creation of both new and renewing grant accounts. I spearheaded a grant filing and documentation initiative. I assisted in the research and approval process of grant proposals, and was involved in other special projects.

Student Financial Services

As a University Financier with Student Financial Services at Idaho State, I received and processed student payments using CashNet. I analyzed and resolved student financial conflicts using Banner, an Oracle database. In addition to student payments, I processed departmental deposits. I also reconciled cash and checks against receipts daily.
