I joined the Diocese in 2015 and provide professional advice and a building surveying service to the Diocese of Salford covering churches, schools, social centres/parish facilities and the wider diocesan estate.I’ve recently managed the RAAC survey programme for our 200 schools. This project has taken three years and has involved managing a multi-disciplinary team of architects, surveyors and engineers to survey our schools, implement mitigations and put together plans for future capital works. I’ve been working closely with Local Authority officers and the Department for Education.

As a Graduate Building Surveyor at Lancaster Maloney I am gaining experience in many of the diverse areas of Building Surveying, including:ensuring projects are completed on budget and to schedule;advising clients on schemes and projects and determining requirements;preparing scheme designs with costings, programmes for completion of projects and specification of works;preparing documents for tender and advising on appointing contractors, designers and procurement routes;determining the condition of existing buildings, identifying and analysing defects, including proposals for repair;dealing with planning applications and advising on property legislation and building regulations;advising on construction design and management regulations.
