I am a professional mariner of both sail and powered craft up to 24mtrs load line length and 200tons. With over 100,000+ miles sailed/steamed from as far north as Norway, to the Mediterranean and all ports between. As founder of Morvargh Sailing Project CIC I have a proven record of success in sail training and youth development with several projects such as #SoundSense (marine science voyages) and #ASPIRE360 (a circumnavigation of the UK). A natural leader and motivator, with strong powers of empathy and negotiation borne out of working with young people in a residential education setting. Detailed understanding of the sail training industry, particularly in the South West region.Entrepreneurial traits allow me to fund Morvargh Sailing Project and with the formation of 50North 4West I have developed and launched our first web-application; Galileo. Galileo has been designed to assist owners, operators, and/or captains in the management of their vessels along with manufactures, and delivery companies with their operations.I have been involved with the Maritime & Coastguard's IPV implementation and are now acting as a consultant with a large UK based luxury motor yacht manufacturer to bring their safety management systems in line with this new legislation. This will be my second successful consultancy.I am interested in linking with people who either passionate about or may help in developing marine based youth development opportunities for teenagers; yacht owners, brokers, distributors or manufactures of luxury yachts that may be interested in Galileo and/or companies or yacht owners that may require help and assistance in marine safety management systems.

We use the medium of offshore sailing because it is an unforgiving natural environment that provides a sense of risk and adventure to the participants; whilst allowing us to develop them over a range of disciplines.Our Tall Ship, Helen Mary R is a natural extension to this philosophy, she requires hard physical work and cannot be sailed without teamwork, communication & resilience, both on deck and down below. Most people come to us with little or no sailing experience but nearly all find it a life changing experience!
