Matthew Fox is a dedicated business events professional with a solid background in organizing meetings, conferences, trade shows, and conventions. He brings strong leadership skills, a commitment to their work, and a genuine passion for the industry, striving to ensure that every event managed is successful and well-received by attendees.As an active member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and the Association of Meeting Professionals (AMPs), Matthew has had the opportunity to serve in several leadership roles. This includes helping to organize the inaugural Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) for the PCMA Capital Chapter and Potomac Chapter of MPI in 2016, and serving as a Board Director for AMPs from 2017 to 2019.Currently, at Scoop News Group, Matthew oversees events for their six brands and some of their key clients, including Google, Amazon Web Services, GDIT, and others. In this role, he manages a variety of events that bring together top executives, thought leaders, and influencers from the public and tech sectors.Before joining Scoop News Group, Matthew spent over 12 years at Meeting Management Services in Washington, DC. During this time, he worked in various roles and contributed to the planning and execution of over 100 events across different sectors, locations, budgets, and sizes. Whether it was organizing international summits on every continent (except Antarctica) for Amazon Web Services, public policy events for DHL and Habitat for Humanity, trade shows for corporations like NAI Global, or registration programs for Fortune 500 clients such as ExxonMobil, Texas Instruments, and L'Oreal/Redken, he was fortunate to gain experience in all aspects of the business events industry.Matthew is always eager to connect and explore how they can support your next event or initiative.
